quilt show weekend // two of three

see post one of three, here.

in this second post about the maine state quilt show, i'll be sharing my photos from the alewives shop: fabric, kits, & classes.  {this is the same shop where i taught my hand sewn, paper pieced hexagons earlier this season. i will also be teaching there this coming fall!}

alewives, aside from having hands down the best fabric selection in the state, is also a dream for anyone interested in sewing, quilting, fabric collecting, styling, and photography. i am in heaven every time i step foot in their shop or quilt show booth! if you like what you see, hop on over to their website - you can buy online and they'll ship anywhere! ♥ my girl, rhea, will take good care of you...
i did the bulk of my fabric shopping (on a pretty limited budget), at alewives' booth - i'm almost slightly glad that i live about an hour & a half from the shop, because otherwise i'd be there too often for my bank account! ;) each year that i have gone to this quilt show to shop with them, i purchase some favorites to spread out over many projects; and sometimes i can squeeze the fabric through til the next year. they've got such an awesome selection and are always getting the newest designer fabrics, though, so it proves more and more difficult every year!

be on the lookout for post three of three, about my loot!, coming soon!!!

  1. Such a great shop, strolling through your pics was almost as much fun as shopping there! My AmEx burst into flames by the time I walked out the Alewives door on my trip East last year. I'd better start saving up NOW for my next visit (probably not 'til next year, so I've got time to build up a binge-budget)... and I'll need to use up some stash between now and then to make room on the fabric shelves! Thanks for the eye-candy!
